Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition with 8GB RAM

Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which is all set to launch on August 23, is still being surrounded by rumours and leaks. The latest rumour talks about the report of a special Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition which will sport an 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage on contrary to the 6GB RAM of the Galaxy Note 8 standard edition. The phone is referred with the title ‘Emperor Edition’ which is being assumed to have some kind of Star Wars reference. A separate document leak suggests that Samsung may start accepting pre-orders for Galaxy Note 8 in Australia from August 25.

The report of a possible Emperor Edition of Galaxy Note 8 was originally leaked on Weibo, a Chinese social networking site. The phone is said to have 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage capacity and is likely to be launched only in China and South Africa. The leak also says that the Emperor Edition phone will be revealed along with the standard Galaxy Note 8 phone. The phone may be released in three colour variants, Blue, Black and Gray.

To recall the previous leaks, Galaxy Note 8 is likely to have a near bezel-less design in a 6.3-inch screen. The upcoming Samsung phone is also said to be in competition with Google’s Pixel 2 to be the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 836 SoC. The phone was previously expected to be available in a single variant of 6GB RAM, and now there is news of one more 8GB RAM edition. Among other features, Galaxy Note 8 is expected to have two 12MP (or 13MP) rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back, and a 3300mAh battery.

The Galaxy Note 8 smartphone, which will be officially launched on August 23 at Samsung’s ‘Unpacked Event’, is likely to be available for pre-orders in Australia from August 25. The leaked document also has the mention of a “Screen Assure Offer” which is said to offer a one-time free screen replacement within first 12 months of purchase of the phone. It also reveals the names of some stores in Australia where Galaxy Note 4 might be available.
