Sony India Reduced Prices Of Its Xperia X and Z5 Premium By Up To 21 percent

Sony India has reduced the prices of its flagship smartphones, Xperia X and Z5 Premium, by up to 21 percent. The reduced price has been made effective from September 1. Now Xperia X is being sold at Rs 38,990 that is lower by Rs 10,000 or around 21 percent of the launch cost of Rs 48,990 in May this year. Similarly, the Xperia Z5 Premium is now available at Rs 47,990, which was prior accessible at Rs 55,990, that is a decrease of Rs 8,000 or 14 per cent. The new cost is effective from September 1, 2016, Sony India said in an official announcement.

It must be noted that the Sony India is in the mid and premium class smartphone provider in the Indian market, which is among the fastest growing on the planet. As indicated by research firm IDC, the smartphone market in India saw a 17.1 percent rise in shipments to 27.5 million units in the April-June 2016 quarter, with Chinese merchants like Lenovo, Xioami and Vivo driving the growth. The biggest player in India is Samsung (25.1 percent), followed by Micromax (12.9 for percent), Lenovo Group (7.7 percent) and Intex (7.1 percent).
