Swipe Launches An Entry Level Budget Smartphone At Rs. 6,999

Swipe, the Indian budget smartphone maker has launched its latest smartphone Elite Plus in the Indian market today which will be the fourth device in the Elite series after Elite, Elite 2, and Elite Note. The handset comes with some good entry-level specifications and is priced at Rs. 6,999. The smartphone has a polycarbonate body with a matte finish on the back and has a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) that is protected by Dragon Trail glass.

The Elite Plus offers 4G LTE support

On the specification front, the device has a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB with the MicroSD card. It has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP selfie camera with 88-degree wide angle lens. Swipe is also offering 100GB of cloud storage with the Elite plus. The 3,050mAh battery on this device is being claimed to give two days of battery backup.

The handset will be exclusively available through Flipkart

The Elite Plus is a dual SIM smartphone with dual standby support and offers 4G LTE. The Elite Plus operates on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Freedom OS laid on top. The handset will be exclusively available through Flipkart starting from June 6th. The earlier launched Elite Note comes with a bigger 5.5-inch with HD resolution. It is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor along with 3GB of RAM. The Elite Note has been launched earlier with the same 13MP rear and 5MP back camera setup as on Elite Plus.
