Xiaomi, Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched Mi MIX 2S in its home country on 27th March. The smartphone sport a ceramic body, curved on all four sides and come with wireless charging support. Highlights of the smartphone include Face Unlock feature, wireless charging support, and dual rear camera setup.
The company is offering the smartphone in three variants which includes 6GB of RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6GB of RAM+128GB internal storage and 8GB of RAM + 256GB internal storage will sold in China at RMB 3,299 (approximately Rs 34,200), RMB 3,599 (approximately Rs 37,300) and RMB 3,999 (approximately Rs 41,400) respectively. The company says, that the top variant of the smartphone will be bundled with a free Mi wireless charger worth amounting RMB 99 (approximately Rs 1,000). The company has started taking the pre-bookings of Mi MIX 2S and the deliveries of the smartphone will start from 3rd of April particularly in China.
In terms of design, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is slightly bigger as compared to Mi MIX 2. The vertically aligned dual camera setup at the rear is one of the major changes that we can see on the rear panel of the smartphone.
As expected, Mi MIX 2S boasts a 5.99-inch full HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) display along with 18:9 aspect ratio that simply means smartphone comes with a full-screen display. It is embedded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which clocked at up to 2.8GHz and has an Adreno 630 GPU. As Xiaomi previously confirmed that the newly launched smartphone gets an impressive 277,178 scored on AnTuTu benchmark. The newly launched smartphone runs on Android Oreo with MIUI 9. The smartphone comes with company-owned voice assistant called ‘Xiaol’ and the users can also access Google’s ARCore on the smartphone.
As expected, Mi MIX 2S is said to feature a dual- rear camera setup which includes a combination of 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The rear camera app is equipped with several AI features such as an object, scene recognition, face recognition, Portrait Mode, dual-pixel autofocus, 4-axis OIS, optical zoom, and hardware-level multi-frame noise reduction. The rear camera is said to feature a Sony IMX363 sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 aperture, and 1.4µm pixels the company says that it offers 25 percent more light while capturing the shots.

For the selfie snapper, the Mi MIX 2S sport a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling. The fingerprint sensor is positioned on the rear panel of the smartphone. The smartphone also has a face unlock feature which helps to unlock the smartphone.
The connectivity options on the smartphone are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz, and 5GHz), NFC, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C, whereas, sensors on the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, and an ultrasonic proximity sensor.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is fueled by a 3400mAh battery along with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. The weight of the smartphone is 189 grams and dimensions are 150.86x74.9x8.1mm. So far, the Chinese company has not announced when it will unveil globally.
