And, Xolo is the name among all domestic smartphone brands which has brought the code. Though, it seems like a house of card but the growing mobile company has averred it true.
Xolo, the leading domestic smartphone manufacturer has developed kernel source code for its Q1100 Android handset. The code is available on SourceForge which is posted by the company's developers.
kernel source code has brought for developers that will help developers to create custom ROMs for Android smartphones. Android OS reported about the releasing of Kernal source code first. As the Qualcomm processor has quite user friendly nature which helps developer to create any custom firmware easily.
Xolo Q1100 was priced at Rs. 14,999 when get launched in February. Android 4.3 OS based handset comes with dual SIM support and features 5-inch HD IPS display that offers screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The phone is shipped perfectly with quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.4GHz and Adreno 305 GPU.
1GB of RAM gives smooth appearance to all applications, installed on the device. It comes incorporated with OGS technology. Few days back, Q600s and Q1200 had been launched with the budget price tag of Rs. 7,499 and Rs. 14,999 respectively.
After Xolo's courageous step, we hope that some other domestic handset makers will also make entry in this realm and Indian Android developers will soon taste more kernel sources for variety of Android devices.
