Zopo Speed X with Niki.ai Launched in India at Rs. 9,499

The Chinese Smartphone maker Zopo Mobile has announced its Speed X smartphone in India on Friday, July 21. The phone is already available for sale in the country through major online shopping platforms at a price of Rs. 9,499. The phone was first introduced in India back in June 2017.

The Zopo Speed X is a mid-range smartphone with some unique features. The most notable of its features is Niki, which is an AI-based chatbot integrated with the smartphone. It is not an ordinary chatbox, but allows users to perform multiple tasks. Another great feature is the dual-cameras at the back. The phone will be available in four colours, Royale Gold, Orchid Gold, Charcoal Black, and Space Grey.

The important thing to know here is that Niki is an AI-based smart chatbot application designed by a Bangalore (India) based AI startup with the same name. The company is backed by Mr. Ratan Tata. Like we said before, Niki is much more than just a chatting app. It allows users to make online purchases from over 20 e-commerce websites. The users will just have to chat with Niki to make bill payments, book movie tickets, cabs, bus/train tickets, hotels and much more, within seconds.

Talking about the specifications, Zopo Speed X is a dual-SIM (both Nano) phone powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor and 3GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It comes with a 5-inch full-HD IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels and a 441 ppi resolution. The phone also features dual-rear-cameras setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary camera for depth capturing. It also has a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture at the front. Both the cameras are backed with LED flash support.

The new Zopo phone is available in 32GB internal storage version with an additional slot for external microSD card. Other specifications include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, FM Radio, A-GPS, and micro-USB for connectivity. The phone comes with a 2680mAh non-removable battery. It also has a fingerprint scanner present on the back panel. Other noticeable features include multi-window view, smart screen, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, magnetometer, ambient light sensor.
