ZTE Launched Axon 7 With 5.5-Inch Display and 4GB RAM

ZTE, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched its new flagship smartphone dubbed as Axon 7. The device is made available for pre-orders in the Chinese market and will be available for purchase via online and retail stores from June 2. It is also expected that the smartphone will make its way to US shores soon as well.

The new Axon 7 is available in three variants i.e Basic, Standard and premium. The Basic variant is priced at CNY (roughly Rs. 29,600), the Standard at CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 33,800) and the Premium at CNY 4,099 (roughly Rs. 42,000). The Premium version comes with a Force Touch Pressure sensitive display.

Now moving towards the specifications side, the ZTE Axon 7 flaunts with an aluminium unibody having a 5.5-inch QHD Super AMOLED display. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0 based Marshmallow operating system with MiFavor UI 4.0 on top. The dual SIM based smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) quad-core SoC with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB RAM.

At the photography department, the GSM-based handset incorporates 20-megapixzel camera at the rear end with dual-LED flash, f/1.8 aperture and OIS+EIS+PDAF. It captures 4K video at 30fps, and slow motion is captured at 720p at 240fps/480p at 300fps. On the other hand, it bears a 8-megapixel selfie camera on the board.

For the storage, the device has a 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot expansion. ZTE upgraded its device with an enormous audio system. It houses dual speakers, M-base support material and claims to bring high fidelity sound performance. The company has even made the renowned pianist Lang Lang as the brand ambassador of it's Axon series.

The device is backed by a 3140mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The company claims that the battery can last up to 16 hours of talk time and 360 hours of standby time. The Quick Charge feature has the ability to charge the device up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

For the connectivity, the smartphone includes USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G LTE. The handset houses a fingerprint sensor at the back.

The company revealed that the Axon 7 will receive the Android N update and will supports the Google's DayDream VR. The company has also unveiled the ZTE VR headset at a price tag of CNY 518 (roughly Rs. 5,300).
