Facebook Added a New Shopping Section to its Page to Buy Items

Facebook, the major social networking site, is on its way to becoming a one-stop shop for all of your social networking, selfie, news, disliking and retailing needs.

This new shopping section is developed in collaboration with digital commerce company Shopify, and initially, the shop addition will be available only to Shopify retailers at no additional charges.

Facebook remains continually updated by keeping the users preference to provide the better services at the same platform. Selected merchants will now feature at the shop section on their facebook pages, by allowing the customers to purchase items without leaving the site.

Shopify mentions in a statement that the existing Facebook Store apps don't work on the mobile devices, which is how most of the people use the Facebook on the mobile devices.

As the existing Facebook Store only add the tab to your page while the new Facebook Store Shop section appears as a large section on your main Facebook page. The new Shop section includes a subscribe button that lets people get notified when you add a new products.

Facebook and digital commerce company Shopify have been testing out its new feature since the past few months.
