Facebook Introduced Lifestage, a New Spooky Social Media App For Teenagers

Facebook, the social media giant has now made a step forward in the following sector by launching an all new application called Lifestage, which is specially made for teenagers. This application can only be used by the youngsters pursuing their high school teenager age below 22.

The application allows users to create a virtual profile by sharing their info, pictures and videos in a slam-book like a format. The user can fill up the fields like likes, dislikes, best friends etc with their pictures and videos. Just like early days of Facebook in the US, the application can not be accessed by college students. Lifestage only allows school students to be accessed. Any school in that application can be unlocked by adding 20 or more than 20 students of that school.

The application is only available in the US, and the company has also not revealed any plans of its further expanding. The thing to worry about in that particular application is that all of your information can be viewed publicly.

The description of the app on iOS says, “Everything you post in Lifestage is always public and viewable by everyone, inside and outside your school. There is no way to limit the audience of your videos. We can’t confirm that people who claim to go to a particular school actually go to that school. All videos you upload to your profile are fully public content.”

By the following description, looks like Facebook has taken off its hands from the responsibility of user privacy. The application can be proved a bit harsh for the age of users who can be easily exploited on the internet.
