It is a very interesting news for the Internet enthusiasts that today Google+ is celebrating its 5th birthday. The Google's zombie of a social network has shambled its way to the excellent age of five years. Believe it or not, Google+ was introduced on June 28th, 2011, during a period when Google still thought it could take off the rising risk of Facebook and its compelling urge to consume the whole web. As like its ancestor Google Buzz, G+ failed to persuade individuals to make its online services like Gmail, YouTube, and Google search.
At different points, Google+ was pushed as Google's premier photo sharing a platform, or its go-to video visit destination, or, most egregiously, a fundamental entry for signing into your YouTube account. Those endeavors have now been downsized or turned around, leaving G+ as a remnant of an over-ambitious Google that misjudged exactly how far user goodwill would take it. Google+ began off promisingly, particularly for individuals who were and still are edgy for the other option to Facebook's blue blandness, yet its interface wasn't particularly easy to use and its establishing idea of packaging individuals into Circles felt oddly sophisticated.
Today, Google+ holds a signal of reliability to set up users and communities, of which there are still a couple exceedingly connected with ones kicking around. It will never measure the heights of Google's unique concepts, and after all its fragmentation into littler bits, its definitive fate is well on the way to be as another marking point on Google's spring cleaning list of service discontinuations. But For now, join your hands and say happy birthday to Google +.
