With a long term goal to reach, Hike messenger, a home grown chat application has emerged itself with a new feature to add-on to the list. Kavin Mittal, son of Bharti Enterprises chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, heading the Hike messenger, has uttered that the Hindi news feed will be available within the the instant messaging platform to its users on their smartphones.
The Hindi News will have content available in ‘bite’ size feeds across sports, entertainment, politics, technology and many more categories, the company uttered in a statement. It has been observed from the last August that the users are facing a problem to read the news in the English language. Not all but few of them. To provide the ease of platform with the user compatibility to the interface and news room, the company has decided to come up with this launch.
After the English News platform launched in August, Hindi News room appeared to be backed up to follow the sort. It has also observed that over 1.5 million daily users are viewing 100 million stories per week. The company's aim to think big, to launch big, is overheating the world. It has also planned to introduce news platform in regional Indian languages.
Hike Messenger Founder and Chief Executive Officer Kavin Bharti Mittal said, "We have carefully studied content consumption patterns of our user base and hike being an Indian app, we are happy that now our users can read news in Hindi. Users can switch between Hindi and English news by tapping a button. We believe this is a step forward as we embark on our journey to bring India online in a locally relevant way".
