How to Take the Benefit of Yahoo On-Demand Password?

In today’s technology world, everyone rely on emails, and for each account, there is a need of password. Well, Yahoo has thought to remove this dependency to making the process of account accessing simple and more secure.

Yes, Yahoo is removing the option of password while you log-in to your account. The user-entered password will be replaced by the on-demand password. This new feature will send a text containing your password to your mobile number. Every time you log into your account, it will send a password to your smartphone.

However, this feature is currently available to access in U.S. only. Steps to follow to activate this option in your Yahoo account:

• First off, log-in your account and then go to the account information page.
• Select Account Security from the left bar.
• It will show a list of options. Scroll the page and click on the On-demand password to get it.
• Then, input your phone number to access this feature. It will send you a verification code to verify your contact number.
• And then, your account is ready to get the password by SMS every time you log-in.

As aforementioned, this service is applicable in US, but we expect that it will soon reach in other regions too. However, the company itself has not spoken on the same. Well this feature is good as security perspective, but when your mobile isn’t with you or you are not in network coverage area, then it probably increase your trouble.

At present, its contenders Google, Facebook and Apple are offering two step authentications for account security. Yahoo seems more conscious on the same by introducing its On-demand password feature.
