Idea cellular has announced the lunch of its 4G LTE services across the four more states. This prominent service has been expanded to Chattisgarh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab. The 4G services by the Idea will now be available in 7 telecom service areas including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerela, Tamil Nadu and Chennai. The leading telecom operator will be provided its 4G LTE services across the 183 towns in these seven telecom service areas by January 31.
The cellular operating company, Idea will cover some major cities including Indore, Bhopal and Raipur in Madhya Pradesh. Chandigarh, Firozpur, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Moga and Pathankot in Punjab and Ambala, Karnal, Hissar, Panipat, Rohtak and Sonipat in Haryana. Gwalior, Jabalpur, Jalandhar, Muktsar, Patiala, Sangrur, Charkhidadri and Pinjore will follow by January 31.
Its 4G services will expand to 84 towns including Ambikapur, Anuppur, Bhilai, Bilaspur, Chhatarpur, Katni, Kawardha, Korba, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Rajnandgaon, Ratlam, Sagar, Satna, Sehore, Shahdol, Shivpuri, Ujjain and Vidisha by March 2016.
The company stated in a statement that, it has about 2.7 million 4G devices. It also claims that on the nation basis, Idea has nearly 49.5 million customers owing 3G devices and 6 million customers with 4G devices.
On the occasion of expanding its 4G services, Ambrish Jain, Deputy Managing Director, Idea Cellular revealed that, “Since last week of December 2015, Idea has rapidly rolled out its high-speed 4G LTE network to cover 7 major markets in India. By March 2016, our services will extend to 3 more key markets namely, Maharashtra & Goa, North East and Orissa, and by June 2016, Idea’s 4G footprint will cover 750 cities across 10 telecom circles.”
