LeEco to Start Using Facebook Canvas Tool for Advertising its Products

At this stage, every gadget lover is aware of the name LeEco (formerly known as LeTV) courtesy the launch of new smartphones (Le Max, LeMax Sapphire and Le 1s) by the company in the affordable range and with best specs possible. It is also known since, during the launch sessions, the company had quite hopefully revealed to become a part of top three smartphone players in India. The latest reports state that now the Chinese firm will be advertising its products using Facebook's Immersive Canvas Mobile ads technology and that the service would begin in February itself.

In an official statement the company said, Technology giant LeEco is one of the first few advertisers to be selected to use Facebook Immersive Canvas Mobile ads, a new experience which allows advertisers to use a mix of videos, photos and other elements in new and compelling ways. It's like an alternate version of a brand's website but will load more quickly and be more interactive because the content is native to Facebook.

For non-technical users, Canvas Mobile Ads look like normally sponsored posts in the News Feed, but when tapped, they take over the screen and allows the user to flip and scroll through text, photos, videos and other content. It is great to see LeEco being one of the first advertisers to embrace the new experience on Facebook.

Chinese firm LeEco had earlier said it hopes to grab a spot among the top three smartphone players in India within this year, on the back of its disruptive technology. The company had also said that it would bring its ecosystem devices and services including televisions and smart cycles to the Indian market later this year.
