Leading techno firms Microsoft and Adobe today announced a major partnership for promoting the use of cloud computing services of both the giant firms to their mutual customers.
Satya Nadella, Chief Executive Officer, Microsoft Inc has stated this deal with Shantanu Narayen as “massive milestone” for both the companies.
The deal has been aligned with a treaty done last year between both companies, in which some of the Adobe products are linked to Microsoft’s customer relationship management tools.
Basically, Cloud Computing is an enhancing platform as a rented, web-based infrastructure which allows companies to run their software without having their own servers. It is believed to be a showcase of Microsoft’s willingness to partner with quondam competitors.
The deal will include the usage of Photoshop under Microsoft’s network of on-demand data storage and processing power to initiate its digital marketing and media software.
Meanwhile, Microsoft stated that Azure will be made Adobe’s “preferred cloud platform” for its three main services: Adobe Marketing Cloud, Creative Cloud and Document Cloud.
Along with it, Adobe will use SQL server and Azure machine learning services, which are available in Cortana Intelligence Suite.
Shantanu Narayen, president and CEO of Adobe stated at the keynote session, “Customers today expect a well-designed, personalized and consistent experience every time they engage with a brand. Adobe and Microsoft will bring together the cloud horsepower and end-to-end capabilities brands need to design and deliver great digital experiences.”
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed yet. But the companies in a joint statement said that they are also working for the customers to work across each other’s software.
Narayen, during today’s Ignite keynote also stated that it is a next phase of Adobe partnership with Microsoft, he said, “We have completely reformed how in the cloud we can reimagine the creative process as well as documents”
Microsoft also will be seen using Adobe Marketing Cloud as its preferred Marketing service for Dynamics Enterprise 365. Both of the companies will share their Data Integrations, which makes it easier for users to work across the services.
