Ola Cabs has now updated its app for auto-rickshaw drivers. Looking at the response of active users of the app, Company has decided to bless auto drivers with the benefits of their service. This updated app will let you to book an auto direct from your smartphone. Just a single call and the nearest auto will right there to pick you up.
To take the benefit of this service, the auto drivers will need to register them on its system first. For passengers, they simply need to open the app and enter their location to find the nearby auto. After completing the process, Ola will start to search the one who will be close to your location. The cab service then will ask you for the confirmation and then passed the message to the driver. The driver will cll you to know your exact location.
There is one condition also which will defiantly relax the passengers from grabbing the unreasonable fare by them. The registered auto drivers with Ola will charge customers according to meter and customers will have to pay Rs. 10 extra for the convenience. The whole fare will be paid in cash, no option of csh-free transaction will be available for auto-rickshaw.
Earlier a PoochO app had also been rolled out by DIMTS (Delhi Integrated Multi-Model Transit System), but it didn’t get the good response in the city. On the other side, Ola is currently giving its auto booking services only in Bangalore, Chennai and Pune. Only Android and iPhone users can take the benefit of this service right now.
