OnePlus X Gets Marshmallow Based OxygenOS 3.1.2, Nougat to Hit OnePlus 3 Soon

Upgraded version of OxygenOS is finally ready to hit the screens of OnePlus X users. The new OxygenOS 3.1.2 will now bring Marshmallow sweetness along with it, But a question has also risen up with the arrival of this update that, “When will the Nougat version arrive?”. Well as of now, we have to wait a bit for that one while downloading the available OTA update for OnePlus X.

The new OxygenOS brings some cool and important features with it. The OxygenOS v3.1.2 will be fueled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, launcher updates, new icon packs, a new design of wallpaper picker, and Google search bar UI customization. It also includes changes on the settings, UX improvements, long press boards to rearrange or remove, and general system performance improvement.

Apart from this, you will also notice new Alert slider settings, new app permissions, OnePlus Music Player, and OnePlus Gallery. The newly launched OS will already come with the October Android security patches plus other major bug fixes. The rollout of the new update is expected to arrive a little slower. So, if you haven’t received any notification yet, don’t worry, it will be delivered soon.

However, most of the people are curious about the Android Nougat arrival for the OnePlus 3 smartphone flagship. The company stated in an AMA Reddit session that it's already working on the latest version. The exact date of the Nougat arrival has not been disclosed yet, but is expected to make an official release before the end of this year 2016.

OnePlus always keeps its users satisfied by providing them a regular update. If you don’t want to hold on and want to experience Nougat, you are free to install it via CyanogenMod ROM. Yeah, it is non-official but is a good option for technical geeks.
