The Avant-garde Windows 10 Announced as the Last Microsoft OS

The upcoming operating system of Microsoft: Windows 10 has already made the global village quite crowded due to its innumerable leaks and tidings as well as brought the tech giant in limelight. Well, tech world has recently enjoyed the zest of Insider Preview of this cutting-edge firmware of Redmond giant. And now, yet another news related to OS has heated up the cyberspace, which affirms that there won't be a Windows 11 because Windows 10 is the last one.

As per the report of The Verge, during company's Ignite conference, Jerry Nixon, a developer evangelist stated that "Right now we're releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we're all still working on Windows 10." Well, it instantly sounds like Microsoft is going to stop its software service, but the reality is different. Because, corporation just won't release a whole new version of software in the foreseeable future, but it will continue to bring regular improvements and updates in latest OS.

Jerry Nixon also stated that company had kicked off Windows 8.1 last year, but firm was also working on the development of Windows 10 in the background. As per reports, avoiding the roll out of a major version of operating system or we can say a complete new Windows OS is basically company's effort to rebrand "Windows as a service," wherein it will receive new innovations and incremental updates in an ongoing manner.

A Microsoft spokesperson has confined in a statement to The Verge, "We aren't speaking to future branding at this time, but customers can be confident Windows 10 will remain up-to-date and power a variety of devices from PCs to phones to Surface Hub to HoloLens and Xbox. We look forward to a long future of Windows innovations."

As the matter of fact, this hotly-anticipated firmware is expected to arrive for PCs by this summer and will be available to download for free for one year for the users of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1. But, it will come for mobiles, Xbox One, tablets and holographic device: HoloLens later this year.
