Xiaomi Will Announce VR Headset on August, 1

After launching different electronic gadgets ranging from an electronic toothbrush to first ever laptop in the past few months, Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm Xiaomi is now planning to introduce a VR Headset in the market soon.

The company is expected to launch a VR Headset on August, 1 as reported by Android Headlines and a Chinese website Weibo. The report that Xiaomi is working on a VR Headset has been confirmed by the company’s General Manager Tang Mu, which was announced at Google’s I/O event last month. The headset will be compatible with Google’s Daydream platform.

According to Android Headlines, the firm thinks that this will be the best way for providing an excellent Virtual Reality experience to the optimized MIUI users. The price of the headset is expected to be low and in an affordable range as compared to other brands.

If the company take a step forward and launch the VR Headset on August, 1, it will join the likes of HTC, Sony, Samsung and Google who have already made their place in the following market.

Xiaomi has announced its first laptop on Wednesday named- Xiaomi Notebook Air. The laptop is featuring a full metal body and has a little resemblance Apple’s MacBook air in design.
