2016 Honda Civic Launched in Malaysia: India Launch Soon

2016 Honda Civic has been launched in Malaysia at a starting price of RM 110,426.51 (INR 18.11 Lakh). Honda Malaysia launched this sedan with three engine options; 1.8L, 1.5L Turbo and 1.5L Turbo Premium, and the prices are RM 110,426.51, RM 124.076 and RM 131.886 respectively.

The 1.8L base variant is powered by 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 141 hp and a peak torque of 174 Nm. Honda claims a fuel economy of 15.9 kmpl for this 1.8L engine, and it accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 10.4 seconds. The rest two variants, Turbo and Turbo premium are powered by an all new 1.5L, directed injected and turbocharged, 16-valve, in-line 4-cylinder petrol engine which is capable of delivering a maximum power output of 174 hp with a peak torque of 220 Nm. It reaches from 0-100 kmph in 8.2 seconds.

Features wise, the 2016 Honda Civic comes with 6-airbags and 8-way adjustable driver seat as standard across all variants. Whereas, the 1.5L variants offer some additional features such as LED headlamps with DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), walk away auto-lock, remote start engine, chrome furnished door handles and 17-inch dual tone alloy wheels.

This 2016 latest generation Honda Civic was recently teased at company’s facility in Tapukara. As the Honda Car India has already declared the launch of 2016 Honda Civic for the Indian market by the end of 2017 or early 2018.
