2017 Nissan Terrano Facelift All Set to Launch on 27 March

Nissan Motor India has officially confirmed that 2017 Nissan Terrano SUV facelift will go on sale in the country from March 27 onwards. The carmaker claims that the upcoming Terrano will be more stylish and bold in appearance with several With several noteworthy aesthetic tweaks. In addition to this, the facelift Terrano will also boast of some new features. Mechanically, though, remain identical to the outgoing model.

No changes will be done on the underpinnings, the facelift Terrano will continue to share the platform with its elder cousin, Renault Duster. On the exterior, the revised front fascia of the SUV garners the most attention, along with the tweaked headlamps, new front bumper and grille.

The update also adds more chrome to the front profile that gives a distinctive stance to the car. Moving on the sides, the car doesn’t feature any noteworthy change, looks similar to that of the current model.
Step inside and you will see the cabin more or less unchanged. In the name of updates, the SUV only features minor tweaks and that too in terms of seat upholstery.

As we’ve mentioned before, the new Terrano is fitted with the same motors that offered in the current variants - a 1.6-litre Petrol engine and a 1.5-litre Diesel engine.
The petrol unit churns out the maximum power of 85 bhp at 3,750 rpm while the peak torque of 200 Nm comes out at 1,900 rpm. On the other hand, the diesel mill will be offered in two different states of tunes - a top variant with the maximum power of 110 bhp and a base variant of maximum power output of 85 bhp. On the transmission front, the 85 bhp petrol and diesel powered variants are mated to a standard 5-speed manual gearbox, while the top end 110 bhp diesel mill is available with the choice of 6-speed manual and an automatic transmission.

With this first facelift version of the Terrano SUV since its launch in 2013, Nissan is looking forward to seeing a bump in the sales. The new Terrano will continue to be manufactured at company’s facility in Chennai.
Additionally, Nissan is also gearing up to add a new SUV to its Indian line-up named, the X-Trail. It was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo back in February 2016. The SUV will make its way to the Indian roads via CBU route (Complete Built Unit) by the mid of this year.
