2017 Triumph Street Triple India Launch by June-July this Year

Triumph Street Triple, a middleweight streetfighter from the British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles. One of the highly acknowledged superbikes in the segment, the Triple Street is available in three versions- the Street Triple S, the Street Triple R and the Street Triple RS. last year, the next-generation models of the motorcycle, have already launched in the global market. However, it is likely to hit the Indian market in June-July this year. Reportedly, the 2017 Street Triple S will be the first to introduce in the Indian lineup, whereas the top-end trims, the Street Triple R and the Street Triple RS will join its younger sibling, later on.

2017 Triumph Street Triple S- Base Model

On powering front, the new Triumph Street Triple is blessed with a newly developed powertrain influenced from the Daytona 675, but the 80 percent internal components of the mill has been changed. All the three models underpin the similar unit but has been tuned to churn out different power figures like 111 bhp for the base Street Triple S model, 116 bhp and 121 bhp for the Triple R and the Triple RS models respectively.

If considers the highlighted features of the Triple series, the 2017 Street Triple equipped a full LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, as common fitment. The upper models Triple R and the Triple RS is benefited with the top end electronic package comprises ride-by-wire, programmable riding modes, traction control, switchable ABS and a full TFT digital instrument console. Moreover, the Triple RS is bundled with most promising hardware components like 41mm Showa front forks and Ohlins supplied rear mono shock. Braking aids are provided by the 310mm disc up front and a 220mm rear disc from Brembo.

In terms of pricing, the refreshed range of Triples will witness a bump in price, as the new Street Triple S will be priced around ₹ 9.5 lakh onward against the current selling price of ₹ 7.91 lakh. The RS version is more likely to be tagged with a premium price sticker near about ₹ 12.5 lakh at the time of its launch in the second half of 2017. Expected to be assembled in-house, the new Street motorcycles will rival with the available offering in the segment like the Ducati Monster 821 and the upcoming Kawasaki Z900.
