23rd February Marks the Arrival Of Third Generation Skoda Superb in India

The VW Group owned Czech automaker, Skoda is all set to launch its third generation Superb on February 23 in the Indian market. The model was revealed by the automaker earlier this year in Prague. Housing latest iterations, the 2016 Superb is likely to be priced competitively in between INR Rs. 20 Lacs to Rs. 25 Lacs. The Sedan shall be seen competing with close rivals like Honda Accord, VW Passat, and Audi A3.

The new Skoda Superb is likely to get powered by the same 2.0-litre TDI and 1.8-litre TSI engine options . The new 2.0-litre, bi-turbo, four-cylinder diesel engine is capable of delivering a maximum power output of 240 bhp. The engine will be paired to the DSG gearbox.

The 2016 Skoda Superb is manufactured on the VW Group's MQB platform, receiving some major tweaks on the exterior part. The 3rd generation Superb grew longer by 80mm and looks bold. The front fascia gets a multi-slat chrome front grille surrounded by elegant projector headlamps accompanied with LED DRLs. The rear profile gets C-shaped LED tail lamps for better appeal. The car stands on multi-spoke alloy wheels which makes it looks amazingly sharper.

Talking about the interior counterpart, the new Superb gets some value added features. The rear seats have become wide by 69mm in order to ensure better comfort to the passengers. The interior cabin will come with a new dark brown and black colour tone along with little wooden finish. Additionally, it gets a panoramic sunroof, a touch screen head unit along with a stereo system, a multi-function steering wheel, adjustable and ventilated seats, and climate control feature.

The new Skoda Superb has got more appeal than the outgoing models. The automaker has introduced this sedan in India via CBU route. We may expect more thrill from the Skoda Superb now.
