800cc KTM Duke Caught While Test Mules In Spain

Nowadays, the Austrian automaker, KTM is completely focused to make alterations to its product portfolio with the additions of new bikes or by upgrading existing products from the latest technologies like cornering ABS, ride-by-wire technology, slipper clutch, etc. of the lineup. In the same run, the KTM is going to add a new member in the street fighter segment. The newbie is dubbed as KTM Duke 890 with the engine displacement of 800cc. This new offering will be placed between the Duke 690 and Super Duke R 1290. The Duke 890 is captured in two-dimension while its test mules in Spain. The powertrain and aesthetics of the newbie are mentioned below

If talking about the Powertrain of the motorcycle, it will be blessed with parallel-twin, 800cc engine. However, its Duke 690 houses a single engine while the 1290 Super Duke R kept a V-twin engine to propel the street fighter faster.

KTM Duke 890 camouflage

Aesthetically, Duke 890 shares similar headlamp from the sibling 1290 Super Duke R which is less aggressive and angular than the Super Duke R. While its styling is much closer to the Duke 690 if noticed carefully to the images.

Bolted around a steel trellis frame the motorcycle is featured with a double sided swing arm as its younger sibling Duke 690 whereas its elder one, 1290 Super Duke R is furnished with the single-sided swing-arm to absorb the shocks. Moreover, if the bike launches in India, it will have to pitted against with the Kawasaki Z800 and expected to come in 2017.
