Both the engines will be mated to a 5-Speed manual transmission. Whereas, Maruti Suzuki’s AGS (Auto Gear Shift) gearbox could introduce later for the petrol variant.

The new Ignis is also expected to come equipped with Harman’s Infotainment system with the integrated navigation and connectivity features. This infotainment system also supports the Apple CarPlay and the voice recognition functionality.

There will be no change in the appearance of India spec Ignis, it will be the same as the global model. Maruti Suzuki may launch Ignis in the Indian market during the festive season this year and will go on sell through the company’s premium dealership, Nexa. Once launched in the country, it will compete with the car in its segment like Mahindra KUV 100 and Ford EcoSport.
