Aprilia Launches RSV4 RF LE Limited Edition Model in the US

At the recent 2018 MotoGP of the Americas, the Italian motorcycle company, Aprilia rolled out something surprising for the North American bike fans. It is a special limited edition motorcycle that is branded as the RSV4 RF LE. Going to be manufactured only a limited count of 125 motorcycles, the RSV4 RF LE will be provided only for the US market and the Canadian market. The former one will get the 100 units while the latter one will be availed by the 25 units. For your information, the RSV4 RF LE is the only road-legal production bike in the world being offered with the carbon fibre aero fairings or winglets.

In addition to the carbon fibre winglets, the features which are distinct to the vehicle are a special “Factory Works” paint scheme and a series production number on the upper triple clamp. You must be aware of the thing that these equipped winglets are just showpieces that are incorporated to enhance the outlook of the bike, not for offering the higher level of aerodynamics.

Aesthetically, the RSV4 RF Limited gets paint scheme influenced from the Italian Tri-Colour and the livery of the 1987 Aprilia AF1 250. The model which registered the first win for Aprilia in the world championships now counts 294 wins.

The RSV4 RF LE gets powered by the similar 999cc, V4 cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC engine. Coupled to a 6-speed gearbox, the mill makes out the maximum power of 203.8PS and peak torque of 115 Nm. The electronic package on the bike comprises brand’s improved race-developed APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) system which encompasses features like traction control, wheelie control, launch control, cruise control and quick shift.

The RSV4 RF LE gets suspension setup from popular brand Ohlins, which includes NIX USD fork at the front and TTX monoshock at the rear with adjustment aids. The stopping power to the 17-inch wheels wrapped up with tubeless tyres is sent via dual 320mm floating discs with Brembo M50 monobloc callipers up front and a twin-piston 220mm disc at the rear.

If the pricing of the limited edition RSV4 RF LE is considered, it will be offered at the price tag of $24,499 USD (Rs 16.29 lakh) in the US market. While the Canadian market will get its availability at $25,495 CDN (Rs 17 lakh). For this special edition model, you have to pay a premium of $1000 over the ongoing RSV4 RF standard variant.
