Auto Expo 2016: Mahindra Owned SsangYong Tivoli Uncovered

One of the most popular South Korean companies “SsangYong Motor” has uncovered its new variant in India at the ongoing 2016 Auto Expo, Named as Tivoli. The new compact SUV has been developed at the same platform, which can be seen in its another model, X1V-Air Adventure. Those of you who don't know, Mahindra & Mahindra company had acquired this company couple of years back and now the first new variant is going to be manufactured under company's ownership at its own plant at Chakan, near Pune.

Mahindra XUV Aero at 2016 Auto Expo

New to the Mahindra company, the SUV will be released with a new design language called 'Nature Born -3 Motion. At the front, the slim radiator grille is flanked by upswept headlights and there are some other elements like LED DRLs,  at the rear will flaunt tail lights with inverted L motif. Inside the car, a 7-inch infotainment system, mp3 player, APE, three tone cabin beige, and reverse camera. For the safety purpose, Tivoli is also loaded with 7 airbags, rear parking sensors and smart key entry.

Mechanically, new SsangYong Tivoli is expected to be offered with 1.6-litre four cylinder petrol engine that generates 126 bhp of power and 157 Nm of torque, mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox or could be equipped with six-speed automatic too. The pricing aspects has been not revealed yet, but it would be tagged between INR 9 to INR 13 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
