Reportedly, it has been found that a new premium motorcycle is under development at the Bajaj Auto manufacturing facility. The new product is likely to be a scrambler, which will be based on company’s flagship model, the Dominar 400. As the model has already been indicated by the Bajaj CEO Rajiv Bajaj, we can witness any official announcement about the upcoming two-wheeler sometimes in the next three months. The price for the speculated scrambler will be in the vicinity of Rs 1 lakh-Rs 2 lakh.

Lately introduced flagship motorcycle, the Bajaj Dominar 400, has been priced at an aggressive price sticker of Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). In the domestic market, the sports cruiser received a positive initial customer response owing to its price tag. However, the design ideology of the Dominar 400 is to cater overseas export markets, and as of now, it is brand’s one of the major preferences. The imminent Dominar based Scrambler will also follow the same theory to serve the international merchandise. The Bajaj CEO has also consolidated the fact in advance by saying that the company is not targeting the mass market product. Besides, emphasizing on advanced products with global standards.

With all these sorts of aspects, the upcoming motorcycle is likely to be decorated with features such as a full LED headlamp, all digital instrument cluster, a bulbous and muscular fuel tank.

The upcoming Bajaj motorcycle will be a Scrambler, nevertheless, it is confirmed that it will be furnished with components and design elements shared from its power cruiser brother. Chances are, it could also be entitled with the same Dominar moniker, as Rajiv Bajaj had earlier pointed by stating that the name has been trademarked in India as we can exclusively reveal.

The engine detail for the impending Bajaj Scrambler till unknown yet it can share 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DTS-i engine of the ongoing KTM Duke 390, which also works on the Dominar 400.
The similar powertrain on the Bajaj Dominar 400, churns out the maximum power of 35 PS at 8,000 rpm and 35Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The coupled 6-speed gearbox transmission with slipper clutch helps to transmit all the produced power to the rear wheel.

Expect the same engine could perform propelling task for the Dominar based scrambler but might get tuned to output power and torque as per the Scrambler model need.
