Bajaj Launches V12 Officially in India for INR 56,283

After successfully launching the V15, fashioned out of metal from the decommissioned aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, Bajaj Auto has come up with a new product based on the same platform. Christened as V12, it has been priced at INR 56,283 (Ex-showroom, Delhi) and shares more or less design cues with said one except some cost-saving cosmetic tweaks and computable new parts. Moreover, the company has offered the same single cylinder, 4 stroke air cooled DTS-i motor, however, reduced the bore and stroke of the motor.

Starting with powertrain, the Bajaj V12 is powered a 124.5 cc single cylinder, 4-stroke air-cooled, DTS-i engine generating 10.7 Bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 10.98 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The V15, on the other hand, has a 150cc trim churning out 14.7 bhp and 13 Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox, albeit it is similar to the V15.

Virtually, the Bajaj V12 is quite a replica of the V15, but some features have been added there to make it stand out from the crowd. Rather than having the twin 5-spoke alloys, the new bike receives single 5-spoke alloys. Besides, it gets Nitrox based suspension setup instead of twin-spring integrated hydraulic one with gas filled suspension setup on the V15. Some common features are - instrument cluster, saree guard, chrome-tipped matte black exhaust pipe, body graphics, and grab rails. It also houses the same removable cowl option for the rear seat as the standard one.
