Bajaj RE60 Qute Officially Launched in India

Bajaj, which is famous mainly for its electrical appliances, has officially launched the first ever quadricycle named RE60 (Qute) in India, today. This vehicle debuted long back in the year 2012 at Delhi Auto Expo and was going to be introduced in the year 2013 itself. However, due to some legal issues, the proceedings delayed and now finally the model is out. It will be used for commercial purpose as a public conveyance. Since the auto rickshaws are quite noisy and cause a lot of pollution, this four wheeler will act as an effective alternative.

Bajaj RE60 Side Profile

The model has been launched at an approx value of INR 13,22,000. The term 'RE' means rear engineered that means it would be working on a rear wheel drive setup, just like the mini model Tata Nano. Power comes from a 216 cc water cooled, DTS-i, V4 petrol engine that pumps out 20 PS of output and can attain maximum speed of 70 km/h. For transmission, there is a four-speed manual gearbox. The RE60 model returns mileage of more than 35 km/l along with 60g/km of CO2 emissions.

Bajaj RE60 Steering Wheel

With such low emissions, it is an environmental friendly vehicle and at the same time safe for the passengers. The fact that it gets strong doors and an extra wheel as compared to an auto rickshaw, makes it a superior choice for traveling. This four wheeler might also be offered in LPG and CNG variants later.
