Since its introduction, it has made its glorious appearance in Indian two-wheeler market beating all other offered sports motorcycles behind. There are various reasons behind the success of this newly launched beast; Pulsar is one of the most prominent sports motorcycle among youth crowd of India and it has a very good market reputation since its inception, in 2001. Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has already cloaked a good number of sales in the first month only.

With this raise in demand, Bajaj Auto Ltd. has decided to more than double the production of Pulsar RS200 at Chakan manufacturing facility. On this more than double production, Eric Vas mentioned “We are gradually ramping up production from 1700 units to a month now to about 4000 units per month by August. As of May, we have a market share of 56 percent compared with just 13 percent in FY13. Our aim is to double the overall size of this particular segment from the current 7150 units a month.”

An Increase in the production will definitely reduce the waiting period of RS200 enthusiasts. Powered up with a 199.5cc displaced engine incorporated with single-cylinder motor, it has been tuned to pump out an impressive power of 24.16 BHP, while mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
