Benelli Tornado 302 Performing Test Runs; Spotted for the First Time

Benelli’s next flagship- the Tornado 302 has been spotted undergoing test runs in India for the first time. The stylish fully-faired machine delighted the audience at the EICMA last year in Milan. Since then, we have been listening to the updates and its impending launch during Diwali.

The company has moved into the automobile business in India a recent while back and within this short period, Benelli has made significant growth. After getting an overwhelming applause for the TNT 25, the firm is hoping to receive the same satiation for the Tornado 302 as well. Benelli’s Indian counterpart, DSK Motowheels will launch the bike with ABS, however, Shirish Kulkarni, MD of the dealership says that the safety equipment might not be a standard fitment on the tourer.

By making a premier at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Tornado 302 has clearly showcased its fully-faired a version of the TNT 300. A wide headlamp cluster getting twin elements, an aerodynamic windscreen, and sporty graphics are some of the bikes’ prominent attributes. Omnidirectionally attractive, the forthcoming sibling enjoys most of the stuff from the TNT 300 sports fighter. Precisely, the steel trellis frame, the 41mm inverted telescopic fork with 120mm travel along with 45mm rear monoshock travel, the 260mm front twin-disc brake and the single-disc unit at the rear comprise the inherited stuff.

Engine-wise, the bike under consideration gets power from a 300cc liquid-cooled, in-line, twin-cylinder engine that delivers 34BHP at 12,000 RPM and 27NM of torque at 9,000 RPM, paired up to the six-speed transmission. Benelli claimed a top speed of 170kmph. Moreover, the tourer is Euro-4 compliant, which means it has been blessed with a new exhaust system.

Talking about the product portfolio of the company, Benelli has also preserved its TRK 502 adventure bike, which would be launched in 2016 and had been unveiled at EICMA last year. Being more powerful, this monster features a 499cc parallel-twin engine, which is able to deliver 47.6PS of power and 45NM of torque.

Taking price into account, the Italian colossal would set it at around INR 3.5 lakh (on-road). As getting two cylinders, it will be bit costlier than the rest of the 300cc single cylinder models.
