Benelli Tornado 302 Re-Scheduled to Launch in July 2017

Benelli Tornado 302, the first faired motorcycle from the renowned Italian bike maker, which was earlier planned to launch in India around in mid June this year, has been rescheduled to hit the Indian market by July last week.

Apparently, the Tornado 302R shares rear end design cues from the TNT 300. While, the front of the motorcycle which is furnished with the aggressive fairing studded with twin headlamps is completely new, also the exhaust unit too. The bike is equipped with a semi-digital instrument console with an analog tachometer to provide ride related information to the rider.


Mechanically, the shared 300cc in-line 2 cylinder mill from naked brother TNT 300 handles powering duties on this sports runner. The underpinned powertrain is rated to churn out 35bhp at 12,000 rpm and 27Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. All the generated power sent to the rear wheel with the help of integrated a six-speed gearbox.

The suspension setup of the 302R comprises a 41mm USD front forks and an adjustable shock absorber with pre-load adjustability at rear. While, the braking will be handled by the 260mm petal discs at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. The advanced safety of ABS will also be provided as standard, it will be first equipment in 300cc bike segment. In terms of rivalry, the Benelli Tornado 302R will knock its head with the competitors in the segment such as the KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the imminent TVS Apache RR 310S.
