BMW G 310 R Streetfighter Snapped Fully-Undisguised in India

The BMW G 310 R, a streetfighter from TVS-BMW joint venture, is one of the most-awaited motorcycles in India. Recently, it has been captured in two-dimensions while performing test runs on the Indian roads without any camouflage covering. From the detailing, it has been found the snapped G 310 R mule, which was a European-spec model, not the India-bound one.

Lately, the German motorbike manufacturer has also displayed an upgraded version of the G 310 R at the Bangkok International Motor Show. Among the gizmos, there were a new handle bar grip, enlarged turn indicators and a lustrous tail lamp assembly.

At the powering front, the BMW G 310 R is packed with a 313cc liquid-cooled engine. Anchored with a 6-speed gearbox transmission, the mill is stated to deliver 34bhp of maximum power at 9500rpm along with 28Nm of peak torque at 7500rpm.

Here in India, BMW Motorrad marked its official entry in April 2017. In its Initial phase of operations, the renowned giant bike maker commenced dealership outlets in high-tech cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Ahmedabad. Where, the potential buyers will find a huge range of products in distinguished categories such as Heritage, Roadster, Tourer, Adventures and Sports. The BMW G 310 R, which is manufactured in TVS-BMW collaboration, will also join BMW Motorrad’s product lineup after launch.

In terms of rivalry, this premium naked runner will make a direct collision with the KTM Duke 390. The other competitors in the same price and specs range, will be Bajaj Dominar 400, Benelli TNT 25 and the Kawasaki Z250. The G 310 R is plausible to carry an aggressive price sticker, owing to be manufactured locally at the Hosur based TVS facility.
