BMW G310R Launched in Taiwan at INR 5.8 lakh

The naked street fighter BMW G310 from German bike maker, which is highly anticipated in the Indian market, has been launched in Taiwan motoring market. There, the bike is priced at an introductory price sticker of NT$269,000. The amount conversion in the Indian currency will be around INR 5.8 lakh, by following the current dates currency conversion.

The official website for the naked compact bike, BMW G310R went live last year. Besides being the bike is India made product, since it does not have its name in the listed countries on the portal. If the sources are believed, the India launch of the G310R has been rescheduled to 2018.

The G310R is resultant of joint efforts of BMW Motorrad and TVS Motors. The former one engineered the bike while, its manufacturing responsibility is under the consideration of the latter one, as per the signed agreement. Altogether, the BMW G310R’s production in India avail bike maker in keeping bike’s price in check that simply reflects from motorcycle’s pricing in the UK and Germany.
In rivalry front, the most affordable roadster go in competition with the likes of KTM Duke 390, Kawasaki Z300 and Yamaha MT-03 in the global market.

Under the fuel tank, the BMW G310R is powered by a 313 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. The mill is Euro-IV compliant and is capable of generating the maximum power of 34 at 9,500 rpm and peak twisting force of 28 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Transmission duties are under the consideration of a 6-speed unit. The suspension setup on the bike comprises USD front fork and a rear mono-shock to absorb shock on to poor road conditions. While the braking power comes from the 300mm front and 200mm rear disc which are in association with ABS.

Dimensionally, the BMW G310R measures 2,005 mm in length, 820 mm in width, 1,080 mm in height and has an excellent wheelbase of 1,374 mm. As claimed by the manufacturer, the bike with the kerb weight of 158.5kg can easily attain the top speed of 143Kmph.
