As reported in early 2016, Germany-based automaker, BMW Motorrad has planned to enter officially with the launch of Adventure tourer S1000XR in India. Speculation was BMW to display its litre class tourer along with TVS-BMW JV manufactured naked bike G310R at the Delhi Auto Expo. But the petrolheads who were waiting to welcome this giant in the premium motorcycle segment have to face only disappointment. Again, the similar rumors are waving around the internet. As per the sources, BMW is all geared to land its complete product portfolio with its highly awaited BMW G310R. Basically, the G310R is scheduled to roll out in October month this year.
As the company is focusing toward premium motorcycle segment, the only thing automaker has to keep in mind is to have competitive pricing to rival with the already available national and international brand in the same segment. However, it would not be a probe as the giant manufacturing most of its machines at an integrated production facility in Rayong, Thailand.

BMW products, which will be sold in India with the price tags are Thailand assembled naked F800R and super-rapid naked S1000R be priced around Rs 9 lakh and Rs 14 lakh respectively. And, another is fastest supersport in litre-class S1000RR which is likely to arrive under the FTA (Free Trade Agreement) at cost lies between Rs 19 lakh - Rs 20 lakh. From the recently updated GS family-BMW F700GS, F800GS, R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure, the R1200GS will be marked to introduce at an eye-watering Rs 22.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Last but not the least, BMW G310R powered by 313cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine, is confirmed to launch, will mark its presence in October 2016 in the price range of Rs 2 lakh and 2.4 lakh.
