BMW Revealed its Smallest 1-Series Sedan

The luxury automaker from Germany, BMW has lifted the curtains from its smallest sedan, the new 1-series, but it will only be available for China market. Yeah! You heard this right, as the popularity and market of the compact hatches and sedan on the surge in China, the company has exclusively designed this new 1-series sedan for Chinese customers. Furthermore, it is the first compact sports sedan under the moniker of BMW that will be manufactured at the BMW’s headquarters with the cooperation of Chinese engineers.

One must recall that the car in question here is based on the same concept compact sedan, which was earlier showcased at the 2015 Guangzhou Motor Show. Besides, it also shares much of its features with the same concept model. Moreover, some of the features like new all wheels, fog lamps on the front bumper, fresh wing mirrors, etc have also been added to the new 1-series.

Till the date, no such details of the interior have been disclosed yet, however, some media reports suggest that it could borrow much styling from the concept model. As the carmaker is well known for its latest technology, we could expect some additional equipment to the latest 1-series as well.

Although, nothing official has been said by the company for its powertrain, but it is confirmed that the production version of the car will ride on the same front-wheel drive platform as of the Mini. once launched, it will go up against the likes of Mercedes CLA-Class as well as other compact sedans in the Asian market.
