Confirmed: KTM 390 Adventure To Launch in India

Bajaj Auto MD Rajiv Bajaj has confirmed the launch of KTM 390 Adventure in India. The top honcho has made the official announcement that the 2017 KTM 390 Adventure will be the next product to follow the launch of the recently introduced new KTM RC390 and RC200 in the Indian market. He further added that the design of the long-awaited smaller capacity adventure bike has been finalized. Yet, didn’t say a word on the exact launch date of the motorcycle.

As reported, the KTM 390 Adventure will also be produced at the same Pune-based Chakan manufacturing unit as like the other smaller KTMs. However, mechanicals are not confirmed yet, but it is believed that the upcoming KTM Adventure will continue with the same 373.2 cc single cylinder mill of the ongoing naked roadster KTM Duke 390. The said motor is rated to pump out the maximum power of 43.5 PS through the mated gearbox transmission.

As the KTM 390 Adventure will be an adventure focused motorcycle, it is probable to be embellished with cycle parts furnishings devoted to perform onto the rough and uneven terrains. Also, an earlier spied test unit of KTM 390 mini adventure was rendering the implementation of prominent hardware components such as bigger spoked wheels, knobby tyres, upswept exhaust, petal discs, and long travel front suspension that will support the motorcycle to seamlessly take on to the uneven terrains. Though, it will consequently increase the seat height of the motorcycle.

For now, we can only wait, as the launch date of this imminent 390 adventure tourer isn’t officially confirmed. Anyway, as per the speculations, the KTM 390 Adventure is eventual to make its global appearance at the EICMA event this year.
