The famous custom motorcycle builder Ronald Sands presents an exceptionally beautiful machine from the Indian Scout giving a tribute to the pared-back Indian machines. This clearly indicates that how the brand is going to move ahead with its models in the coming period.
The bike has been revealed at the recent Wheels and Waves custom show that took place in Biarritz. Though its arrival in the showrooms hasn't been heard so far, but, Indian Hercules affirmed that chances of something similar are very bright. On a mechanical note, the motorcycle in question inherits the 1200cc engine from the existing Scout and features a tubular steel chassis accompanied by Ohlins suspension performing duties on both ends. This flaunts a vogue exterior and resembles like a 1920's broadtracker style motorcycle.
The new custom Indian Scout also gets a new radiator and Ronald has cleverly made an imitative oil sump as well. The exhaust pipe is also made of frame, forks, and the swingarm. The body finish of the gorgeous red color is giving it a perfect vintage look. Besides, the golden bits here and there, for instance, the Indian badge on the fuel tank, make an excellent contrast with the former.

“Doing a bike like this was good fun because it was so simple and clean although that meant we had to think about every single part that went on the bike and where that was going to work well. We wanted to make sure we kept the classic lines of the bike but also add in some new technology like the Ohlins suspension, said Sands.
Indian marketing boss Reid Wilson added: “This bike was a chance for us to show what Indian could be capable of producing because of the history of the brand. When Indian’s latest era began we had to make sure the foundations of the heavy bikes like the Chieftain were all there because they were vital.
“Since then we’ve been able to add in some of the extra models like the Scout and Scout Sixty which appeal to a different and younger buyer. This bike adds something else and shows what might be possible now the main foundations of the range are already developed.”
