Custom Yamaha RX135 Exhibited in Malaysia: A Pure Nostalgia

The legendary small displacement machine from Yamaha, the RX135, also named as RX-K 135 has gone a long time ago from the markets, but its identity is still alive in the hearts of many bike enthusiasts. A recent event held in the last week of May 2016 in Malaysia Agro Exposition Park witnessed the presence of custom RX-135. Certainly a fine example of the iconic tourer from Yamaha, the motorcycle attracted a lot of eyeballs from its custom appearance.

Starting with the glossy purple shade, the entire body of the motorcycle has got this paint finish accompanied by the golden accents. Certain parts of the bike were shaded in polished cast chrome. Basically, the bodywork reminds us of the original motorcycle.

On a performance note, the RX135 features a UMA Racing carburetor 30mm, a Showa suspension with Ohlins damper that provides fine handling of the bike. The stylish 5-spoke Binter AR125 wheels and Nissin brake calipers have been armed in order to stop the machine at extremities. If you are a true bike enthusiast, you'll certainly find this tourer as a perfect amalgamation of the legendary livery with modern performance factors and an iconic nameplate.

The nostalgic 1985 model of the bike was on a display with a small headlamp fairing and a tail lamp, which gets petite colored elements around it. The cycle parts, handlebar, grab rail, mud guards, and the original exhaust have got chrome finishing. Costing details of the motorcycle are not available, though, due to its exclusive nature, it would certainly not carry a cheap price tag.
