Defining Comfort and Style: 2015 Upgrades of the KTM Duke 390

The KTM Duke 390 has entered into the Indian two-wheeler market in the year 2013. The naked sports motorcycle is successfully achieving a good number of sales in the market. However, the KTM is continuously working to increase its product line-up for Indian customers. As, in the year 2014, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer has launched two fully-faired siblings, named as KTM RC Series of sports motorcycles. The two variants under the RC model are KTM RC 200 and KTM RC 390. Now, it's time to upgrade the naked version, which is initially offered by the manufacturer.

The 2015 KTM Duke 390 was recently found with some major cosmetic upgrades. Let's get into the details of the new makeover acquired by the naked motorcycle. Starting from the front part, the KTM Duke 390 receives new handle grips, which is pretty much similar to its full-faired cousin sibling belongs to the RC Series of sports motorcycle. The front upside down forks are spruced-up with plastic cladding in order to protect the body from sprinkled mud and oozy fluids. And, the mono suspension at the rear is also covered with white shock absorbing spring from inside. Although, another plastic protector is hanging there to shelter the rear wheel.

The rear portion also receives a whole new look, as the tail light and LED blinkers are now coming with a black colored border styling. Apart from all these things, the major technical renovation is the introduction of a slipper clutch, which is also named as Assist Slipper Clutch. A Slipper Clutch helps the engine to run on the same speed as achieved by the motorcycle. However, it doesn't lock-up the rear wheel while hard downshifting of gears.

Moving towards the top cherry over the cake, which is the service interval of the 2015 KTM Duke 390. The service interval offered by the manufacturer for the 2015 model is also being extended up to 7000 kms, which is 2000 kms more than the previous version. Besides, all these improvement in the makeover of the motorcycle, the manufacturer hasn't increased the costing of the sports motorcycle. The ABS equipped KTM Duke 390 is available in the Indian market carrying a price tag of Rs 2.10 Lacs (Ex-Showroom Pune).
