Delhi Auto Expo 2016: Audi R8 V10 Plus Launched at INR 2.47 Crores

After being revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, the famous sports car Audi R8 V10 Plus has been launched at INR 2.47 Crores (ex-showroom, Delhi) during the 2016 Auto Expo going on in the country’s capital. The launch took place in the presence of famous celebs- Cricketer Virat Kohli and Actress Alia Bhatt, thereby grabbing many eyeballs.

Coming to the looks and cosmetic elements on the exterior portions, it receives a single frame honeycomb grille at the front, which is guarded by a pair of standard LED headlamps. It is also available with optional laser lights that can double up the range upto 600 meteres. Further, it gets a prominent shoulder line, contour curves on the sides, LED tail light cluster, and broad air inlets. The rear end carries a rear diffuser that is located between dual exhaust pipes and a carbon fibre rear wing.

As we move to the interior, this supercar is home newly designed bucket seats and there are carbon fibre accents at certain portions. Unlike the previous version, various buttons are replaced by a 12.3 inch virtual cockpit that is configurable as well. Occupants will also get to avail a choice between Nappa leather and Alcantra/pearl Nappa leather upholstery. Moreover, it is also equipped with a 500 watt Bang & Olufsen sound system as an optional arrangement accompanied by Audi phone box.

Discussing the mechanical configuration, it is packed with a 5.2 litre V10 engine that is good enough to pump 610Bhp of power. This motor is married to a 7-speed S-tronic automatic gearbox that comes with three automatic modes as well as a manual option. In terms of acceleration, it can sprint to 100km/h from standstill in mind blowing duration of 3.2 seconds until it reaches to the top speed of 330 km/h.
