Ducati Launches Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak for Indian Market

The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak was recently unveiled internationally a week ago by the Italian marquee. Just within a period of seven days, the automaker launches the demon in the Indian two-wheeler market, which carries a price tag of INR 20.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The name of the motorbike has been derived from the splendid hill climb event, which takes place in Colorado, US, every year. At the centennial of the Pikes Peak international Hill Climb (PPHIC), the replica kit of the motorcycle has been unveiled.

The sportier Multistrada 1200 has been armed with fully-adjustable Ohlins Upside-down forks and rear suspension setup, a carbon-fibre windshield, and a Termignoni exhaust cannister. With eye-fascinating dual-tone paint scheme, the Pikes Peak can steal the heart at one glance. The livery has taken inspiration from the Ducati's racing colors.

“The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak is a motorcycle in which touring capability meets performance. With its race inspired looks and cutting edge technology, the Pikes Peak is in a league of its own and we’re sure enthusiasts will appreciate this version of the Multistrada,” said, Ravi Avalur, MD, Ducati India, during the launch.

In the matter of the powertrain, the hunk has been engineered with the identical 1198cc Testastretta DVT L-Twin engine, which let the tourer gait ahead at a brisk speed via 160BHP of power and 136NM of torque. The mill is matched up to a six-speed gearbox and features multiple riding modes. Electronically, the package incorporates cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control, and cruise control that are not new and adopted from the conventional model of Multistrada 1200S.
