EICMA 2016: Next-Gen KTM Duke 390 Rolled Out

The 2017 KTM Duke 390 is the one from the rolled out overhauled KTM’s lineup at the 2016 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy. Evidently, it is featuring a host of significant changes out of which much are cosmetics rather than mechanicals. Witnessing all-new bodywork and new design inspired from the Super Duke, the new 390 Duke is slated to launch in India sometime in early 2017.

Aesthetically, the 2017 KTM 390 Duke now gets sharp new LED split headlamps and the edgier bodywork to offer a flawless and aggressive styling to the bike. The rider and pillion seat has also been redesigned for an improved level of comfort while riding on a long trip. Moreover, the 390 Duke is blessed with utilities like adjustable hand levers and a TFT instrument console with an optional feature hands-free kit and audio player.

But KTM has returned the power plant to meet the Euro IV emission norms with the equipment of a three-way catalytic converter and a new exhaust pipe. The engine is rated to supply 44bhp and 35Nm of torque with the help of a mated six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.
