Fiat Avventura Urban Cross Spied Testing in India

For the first time, Fiat Avventura Urban Cross, which is expected to launch sometime in the month of September this year,  has been spied testing on the road. It is one of the three units that the company has showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier in February this year. Based on the Punto Evo hatchback, it is going to be displayed alongside the Linea 125S that was recently launched in the Indian car segment.

By looking at the prototype in the pictures, which is wrapped up by a white sheet across all its corners, it is cleared that the unit has ditched the tailgate mounted spare wheel, like we have seen in the regular Avventura. Besides, most of the details have already been disclosed at the Delhi Expo. Compared to the standard version, it has got a new grille, revised bumper, upgraded headlights, and silver body claddings. In terms of dimensions, there are merely some changes over the Avventura. The Cross measures 4000 mm in length, 1700 mm in width and 1500 mm in height.

Furthermore, fog lamps are also there flanking at the front bumper as well as the LED-built headlights look more prominent by getting a bezel around it. If the model comes up with the exact features as shown at the Delhi Motor Show, we will also get to see larger 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, it will sport an infotainment system with a touchscreen display and connectivity features such as satellite navigation and Bluetooth, silver accents on the steering wheel and dual toned interior.

Under the hood, it will carry the same 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine that is currently breathing the Avventura sourced from Abarth. The turbocharged engine can pull the car with a maximum power of 140 Bhp @ 5500 rpm and 210 Nm of torque @ 2000-4000 rpm. Expect only a 5-speed manual transmission.
