Hero Motocorp is all geared up for the launch of the production-ready HX250 in the second half of 2016. The automaker has put on showcase a fairly impressive line-up at the recently concluded Auto Expo, which include fresh dual-tone colors for the Karizma and ZMR, and new exterior touch to Maestro Edge. Undoubtedly, these were totally the charmers, but HX250 was the one, which truly stole the show. Moreover, Splendor iSmart was also on a display by the Indian giant.
Most of the specifications have been undisguised. Under the hood, this faired Tourer is getting a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which is going to deliver 31BHP of utmost power and 26NM of peak torque, said to be transmitted via a six-speed gearbox. The kerb weight, which the bike carries is about 136 kgs along with a claimed top speed of 165kmph.
On the hardware part, the suspension layout has been taken care by telescopic forks up front while a five-step adjustable monoshock at the rear end. Braking configuration takes petal shaped front and rear disc brakes. The bike will make a ride on Pirelli tyres and may offer dual-channel ABS as an option. Technology-wise, it sports analog speedometer, under belly exhaust, split-up seats, clip-on handlebars, riding modes, etc.
Besides the launch of HX250, Hero Motocorp is substantially planning to update its scooter line-up by year end. Albeit, we have not heard any words about the kind of upgrades they are going to take, but still it will be in the terms of cosmetics with some mechanical alterations.
