2018 Honda Aviator Introduced, Priced at INR 55,157

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has launched the updated Honda Aviator for 2018. Rolled out in three variants of drum brake with alloy wheels, disc brake with alloy wheels and drum brake with steel wheels, the premium scooter attracts the initial price asking of INR 55,157 (ex-showroom). Mind you, with this improved Aviator, one has to spend a premium amount of INR 2,000 over the outgoing model.

At the skin, the automaker fabricated this 2018 version of Aviator with a new Red paint scheme and a host of trendy equipment including an LED headlamp, new four-in-one ignition key with one touch seat opener switch, and metal protector for exhaust. In addition to this, a pair of storage hooks enhances its practicality.

Addition of this new red paint scheme has increased the scooter’s colour palette to four choices including three existing shades.

Mechanically, no changes have been observed in the scooter. The 2018 Aviator also uses the churning power of 8bhp along with 8.9Nm from 109cc single-cylinder engine unit of the outgoing model. Rides on a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear wheel, the scooter get mounted on telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. For braking duties, the company is offering the combination of disc-drum and drum-drum trims.

In terms of rivalry, the 2018 Aviator will go in competition with the likes of TVS Jupiter Classic and the Yamaha Fascino.
