New Maxi-Styled 2018 Honda PCX 150 Scooter Unveiled

The Malaysian subsidiary of Honda, Boon Siew Honda has launched the maxi-styled 2018 Honda PCX 150 in Malaysia. The buyers can choose from three colour option including Radiate Grey Metallic, Pearl Metalloid White and Euphoria Red Metallic at the asking price of RM 10,999 (Rs 1.85 lakh).

Apparently, the 2018 Honda PCX150 shares design cues from the recently launched Suzuki Burgman 125 in India. However, it is much sharp in designing comparatively. At the fascia, with a wide front, the PCX150 boasts of all LED headlamp with vertically placed LED turn indicators, all-digital instrument cluster and storage pocket for knick-knacks. Other than this, the facility of a 12V charging socket, 25-litre under seat storage and upright riding position owing to raised handlebars are also being provided with the PCX150.

Rides on 14”, 8 spoke wheels, Honda PCX 150 mounts on telescopic forks up front and dual shock set up at the rear. The wheels are wrapped up with 8 spoke 100/80 section front and 120/70 section rear tyres. The 220mm front disc and 130mm rear drum unit manage braking. The riding assist technological aspect of ABS is being offered as an optional unit. In addition to this, there is a Smart Key System with anti-theft alarm and answer back system, that enables the rider to find scooter easily in a crowded parking lot. The PCX150 has a better ground clearance of 137mm and has a weight of 130kgs.

The powering for the Honda PCX150 comes from a 149cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that is capable of rolling out the peak power of 14.3 bhp at 8,500rpm along with 13.6 Nm of torque. The power transmission to the rear wheel takes place via a mated CVT unit. Other than Malaysia, the 2018 Honda PCX150 has also been marked its presence in the American markets earlier this year. There, the scooter is priced at $3,699 (RM14,341) for standard variant and $3,999 (RM15,504) for the ABS version.

The Indian arrival of the 2018 Honda PCX150 is not confirmed to launch anytime soon this year.
