Honda CBR650F will be entering India by the end of 2015

As we all know, that the Japanese manufacturer has made an announcement to discontinue the Honda CBR250R, in order to introduce the all new CBR300R. Well, that's good news along with a bad news. But here comes, one more surprise, the company is planning to introduce the all amazing and most awaited Superbike in the country. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd. will be making the Honda CBR650F India's first Superbike to be sold officially.

Honda CBR650F will be powered by an inline-four cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with an engine displacement of 650cc. The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission and tuned in such a way that it supports both low and medium speeds of the engine. The power mill churns out a total power of 87 BHP @ 11,000 RPM and a peak torque of 63 Nm @ 8,000 RPM. The middleweight category motorcycle will be coming towards India through the CKD route. The manufacturer hasn't decided the plant to get it assembled.

Talking about the makeover of the motorcycle, the Honda CBR650F will be receiving a digital display console highlighted with white light in the back ground; front and rear lights will get ample LED lights. The middleweight motorcycle will be receiving a new aluminum swing-arm and a preloaded adjustable rear shock. On the safety front, the company will be providing ABS as standard incorporated with disc brakes at both front and rear with two-piston calipers.

The upcoming motorcycle is expected to receive a price tag above Rs 8 Lakh. The Honda CBR650F was first showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo, 2014, which was held in the month of February. Apart from this, the Japanese automobile giant is also planning to introduce its first 160cc premium commuter motorcycle in India by the end of the FY 2014.
