Honda Motorcycles has recently launched its adventure-tourer motorcycle over the Indian ground. The motorcycle is also celebrating its 40th Anniversary and the firm has made it special by introducing its Anniversary edition. The Honda Gold Wing GL 1800 was launched in India carrying a price tag of Rs 28.5 Lacs (Ex-Showroom Delhi). The firm has also given an option for the airbag equipped adventurer-tourer, which costs Rs 31.05 Lacs (Ex-Showroom). This would be the first ever tourer motorcycle from the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer over the Indian ground.
Besides this, the manufacturer has showcased the 40th Anniversary special edition Honda Gold Wing motorcycle at the ongoing Thailand Motorcycle Show. The Thailand International Motor Expo is already been commenced from 29th November and will continue till December 10th 2014. The Special Anniversary edition, which was showcased at the exhibition, is decorated with 40th Anniversary emblems over the key and the pannier seat. The adventurer-tourer motorcycle will be offered in a dual-tone Candy Prominence Red paint scheme.
The Honda Gold Wing GL 1800 is powered by horizontally opposed 6-cylinder, liquid-cooled configuration carrying an engine displacement of 1832cc. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission and gears up a total power of 116BHP and a peak torque of 167Nm. The Honda's iconic cruiser tourer motorcycle is equipped with 6-speaker, 80W SRS sound system, foot-warming system and ABS braking system.
The firm has offered various enhanced electronic equipments such as electronic cruise control and electric reverse system. The 40th Anniversary Edition Honda Gold Wing has made its amazing and unexpected appearance at the Thailand Motorcycle Show, 2014.
